Sew­er Department

The City of Knob Noster's Wastewater Department is made up of 3 inter-related programs:

• Collections: Collection is the program devoted to collecting and pumping the wastewater to the lagoon. It consists of 2 pumping stations, which are at various locations around the city.
• Treatment: The Treatment program is next. It is made up of ultra violet light system, pumps and an irrigated field. There are two certified Wastewater Operators.
• Labwork: Our employees test the lagoon and send the samples off to Engineer Surveys and Services. When we receive the results back, we send to DNR to ensure compliance.
